Brainstorming Is Transforming Your Golf Course Marketing

Brainstorming and brainstorming sessions are valuable ways of coming up with new ideas. There is a saying, “where focus goes, energy flows” and “what you think about, you bring about”. One of the things I learned early in my career was to always ask myself good questions. The reason why you want to ask yourself a good question is because your brain (which is the most powerful computer in the world) will search and look for the answer, i.e., direct its focus on the question.

When you are having brainstorming sessions, you are focusing on a specific topic, source, subject, challenge, etc. You are asking yourself numerous questions like; how can we do this, what do we need to do, how can we make this possible, etc. All of these questions are great questions when you are faced with a challenge. I never say “problem” (negative word) because problem sounds difficult, “challenge” (positive word) sounds exciting.

When you are faced with a challenge, you should always ask yourself, what is great about this, how can I turn this around to be a valuable tool, etc.? By simply asking yourself positive questions while you are brainstorming, you will come up with ideas and ways to overcome all of your challenges.

Brainstorming is a great way to come up with new ideas. When you are brainstorming with other people, it’s like playing tennis, you hit the ball over the net and your opponent will hit it back to you. The same process goes when you come up with an idea and you share it with another person then the other person will also come up with an idea and share it with you and so on.

It is such a great opportunity to get other people’s opinions and use their thoughts and opinions in the process of solving challenges and being creative. Learn to incorporate brainstorming into your daily routine and you will find ways to grow your golf course, the game and your golf career.
